Open Tab
A shared running tab between two people.
Open it, see the balance, see what was added, log something new. That's the entire experience — built for couples, business partners, flatmates, or anyone who shares expenses with one other person.
Closed Beta
Open Tab is currently in closed testing.
The app is not publicly available yet. A small group of testers is helping shape the experience before launch. If you'd like early access, you can request to join the beta.
Features
One number, always current
The balance sits at the top of every tab. Positive means they owe you. Negative means you owe them. It updates the moment either person logs something.
Log a transaction in seconds
Description, amount, who paid. That's the entire form. No categories, no receipts, no split configurations. Tap done and it's in the log.
Multiple tabs, separate balances
One tab with your partner, one with your flatmate, one with your business partner. Each runs independently with its own history and balance.
Instant notifications
The other person logs a transaction and you see it immediately — "Sarah added €45 · Grocery run". No refreshing, no guessing.
Settle up
When the balance is cleared, confirm it with one tap. The tab resets to zero. History is preserved so you can look back if needed.
Philosophy
It's not trying to be Splitwise.
Open Tab does one thing: it tracks who owes who between two people. It does not split bills between groups, scan receipts, categorise spending, or connect to your bank.
Every one of those is a Splitwise feature. None of them belong here. The simplicity is the product — an expense note that both people can see, live, at the same time.
